Thanks to its thin borders, the new SMALL SBACK II is a backlight both powerful and homogeneous, that perfectly fits confined spaces. Settled under the objects to be controlled, the SMALL SBACK II highlights the global shape of the objects (shadow puppet effect), which enables the verification of possible outline defects and material lacks.
TPL Vision’s semi-collimated backlight, the CSBACK is the perfect illumination choice for the inspection or measurement of clear plastics and rounded parts. Collimated light by definition has parallel light rays, and therefore spreads minimally as it propagates, helping to create high-contrast images needed for precise edge detection and defect analysis.
Key application areas include the inspection of objects with rounded edges and clear parts, which may be challenging to inspect with traditional backlights due to the lack of contrast. A collimated light allows users to eliminate this effect by providing a narrower illumination angle that stops the light from wrapping around rounded parts. This also means that images of clear parts no longer appear “washed out”. The edges are more clearly defined, and details are seen with improved contrast, leading to high-quality images and increased accuracy.
Many machine vision systems use multiple light sources. LED panels equipped with white diffusers can interfere with the camera and reduce the efficiency of other illumination sources by scattering light in unintended directions, creating unwanted reflections, and diminishing contrast, which can compromise the quality of the inspection.
The Black & Light (Bn’L) by TPL Vision offers an innovative solution compatible with most vision applications. When the light is on, it works as a traditional homogeneous backlight, highlighting the shape of objects and creating a uniform silhouette. When it’s off, it becomes a matte black background. This is extremely useful when other illuminations are used, as the black background absorbs scattered light and ensures that panels equipped with white diffusers do not interfere with how light is perceived by the camera.
Equipped with 4 high powerful LEDs, the LED BRICK modules by TPL Vision can be easily interconnected. You just have to plug few modules of LED BRICK all together to get very large lighting areas, easily upgradable according to the vision application’s features. If you just add an opaque diffuser on the top of the configuration, you get a perfectly homogeneous backlight, very appreciated by machine vision specialists. The LED BRICK lighting solutions can rely on the LED advanced technology at very affordable prices.
The HPRING is a solid ring, equipped with 12 high powerful LEDs, very useful for the directive lighting of a circular area. Among TPL Vision’s products range, it definitely appears to be one of the most powerful lightings. At a distance of 1m, the standard version of the HPRING can light up a circular area of 550mm.
Its large internal diameter make it compatible with the largest camera’s objectives. The HPRING reveals all its potential in the field of robotics (for example, to locate the products during the packaging process) and also in the field of quality control.
Equipped with 9 high powerful LEDs, the TRING is a miniature ring specially designed for the diffuse lighting of circular areas. It has a current control power supply that regulates the current intensity and consequently guarantees the lighting stability.
Thanks to its M12 connector, it can be easily connected to any kind of production lines. Either in continuous or in strobe mode, the TRING perfectly goes along with a camera dedicated to quality control tasks: code reading, presence/absence checking, surface control…
The FLOOD Light by TPL Vision is a high power flat illumination, which can illuminate large areas from a distance. It is specifically dedicated to the logistics market, and in particular to the control of palletizing process. The FLOOD Light has very thin edges and offers homogeneous light from the entire working surface, including from the edges. Thanks to the hole in the center of the Flood Light, you can insert your camera. And using the TPL Vision mounting accessories (in option), you can easily integrate it thanks to the mounting plate. Equipped with a satin diffuser and ±17° lenses, it is available in two sizes (200x300mm and 300x600mm) and in several wavelengths (white, blue, red and infrared).
The TSPOT 4, highly powerful, is your camera’s best partner to get an optimized control, in continuous or strobe mode. The TSPOT 4 is very easy to set up and quite autonomous, since it gets its own power supply with current control. Moreover, the fixing stirrup helps to orientate the lighting, in direct or darkfield ways. This spot is really appropriate wherever space is a real constraint. Either in directive intense lighting or in diffuse lighting, its 4 leds fit the highest paces of work.
Equipped with a powerful LED, the Spot SBAR is the ideal compromise between the spot and the bar : the Spot SBAR provides a very powerful lighting, just like a spot, and can be easily fixed, thanks to the groove behind, like a bar.
Set up either upwards or downwards, it enables the powerful lighting of confined spaces. Thanks to its directive intense or diffuse lighting, the Spot SBAR reveals its whole potential for the control of a circular surface. Finally, the inside electronics make it very easy to use : you just have to plug the Spot SBAR on a 24V power supply.
The Spot SBAR – available in UV365, UV385 and UV405 – is also very useful to highlight any kind of product that reacts with ultraviolet light (glue, paint…). Thanks to this spot, you can easily control assembly defects, highlight materials lacks, and also read UV markings.
The HPFDOME is a high-power flat dome illumination solution for Machine Vision applications. This product is the next evolution of TPL Vision’s flagship MFDOME+ Standard product, carrying significant product enhancements.
Including: brightness level up to 45 kLux*, new connector making it easier and more cost effective to integrate*, improved rising and falling times of 15μs and 10μs respectively (40% Improvement*) and custom sizes available in 1cm steps (from 200 x 200mm up to 500 x 500mm or 1000 x 200mm).
The Aluminium casing of the product can be manufactured to sizes from 200 x 200mm up to 900 x 900mm or 1900 x 400mm. This range topping illumination solution is perfect for area illuminations in robotic applications, such as pick and place, and logistics applications requiring stable images on large fields of view. Available in Red, White and Infrared, the LEDs are mounted with highly efficient lenses, engineered to distribute the highest brightness and uniformity balance for the dome lighting applications.

Both powerful and very diffuse, the Medium Flat MFDOME+ Overdrive can deal with many machine vision applications. The MFDOME+ has been designed to detect small pieces in a container, to highlight thermoformed products or also to improve contrasts on workpieces made of several materials. It works in continuous and strobe mode, with very short rising and falling times: 25 μs and 15 μs.
Equipped with very thin borders, the MFDOME+ uniformly illuminates from the whole useful surface, included from the edges. No hot spot to notice ! Very thin, the MFDOME+ gets a hole in the middle to insert the camera’s lens. And using the TPL Vision mounting accessories (in option), you can easily integrate it thanks to the mounting plate.
Equipped with new leds, the SMALL SDOME II has a lighting power 4 to 5 times higher than the previous version used to have for white and red leds (WHI & 630). The SMALL SDOME II offers a diffuse and homogeneous indirect lighting that lessen reflections and enable a reliable quality control process on curved and shiny surfaces.
This is the ideal lighting for bar codes and 2D codes reading. Thanks to the ingenious clipping system, the hole located on the top of the dome can be easily customized, so as to fit the camera’s lens perfectly.
Available in two sizes (80 cm an 130 cm), the SMALL SDOME II is compliant with industrial standards, including connection (M12 connector).
