The HPS Bar Light is the most powerful bar light ever developed by TPL Vision, setting a new benchmark for brightness and performance. Designed for ultra high-speed and precision imaging, it delivers exceptional illumination to meet the most demanding inspection challenges.
Generating up to 2,500,000 lux (WHI version) at a 200mm working distance, the HPS Bar Light delivers unrivalled brightness and consistency across the entire field of view. With an ultra-fast 800 ns rise time, it synchronises perfectly with camera exposure and conveyor speeds which is ideal for scan tunnels, high-speed sorting, and dimensional inspection.
Available in different colours: White (5700K), Red (630nm), IR (850nm), Green (525nm), Blue (470nm) in sizes from 125mm – 2500mm.
The HPS Bar Light is designed for versatile use across industries such as logistics and warehousing, manufacturing and industrial automation, and pharmaceuticals where reliable, high-speed inspection is critical. With a 800ns rise time, the HPS Bar Light enables the camera to operate with extremely short shutter speeds, minimising motion blur in high-speed applications. This rapid response means triggering can be done by the camera eliminating the need for a dedicated timing controller. As a result, vision systems can achieve low exposure times while maintaining a greater depth of field and enhanced image sharpness.

Using the Angle Changers to vary the intensity of the illumination helps to eliminate the hot spot seen in the centre of the FoV, which can cause issues in pick and place and large FoV applications. Through reducing the intensity of the illumination in the centre of the HPS Bar Light with a wider Angle Changer, you can achieve a much more uniform image while retaining high brightness.
